Your local ceramic studio located at 756 10th Avenue on the east side of 10th (right hand if traveling north) between 51st and 52nd street in Manhattan, state of New York, USA. Ceramics on 10th is a peaceful place where you can learn pottery and forget that you are in the heart of New York City. We have nice small sized classes of just ten people for more attention for each student. We fire to cone six electric, and have brand new strong Shimpo whispher. We have slow cool glazes with gorgeous surfaces that are stable and don’t run. Students in any class get to choose their glaze on their finished pieces, but students in our 3 and 6 week classes have access to over one hundred and ten glaze color combo test tiles. We do not have any firing fees or charge for clay or tools, everything is provided and included in the cost of your class, the only additional payment would be for the optional use of open studio time which is $20 for each 2 hour session (not all students utilize this and you can simply come to your weekly class and still learn a lot), there is no limit to 2 hour session open times that you can take but they must be scheduled in advance with the studio manager or your teacher.
