Hi, I'm Joey 👋

I'm a hobby potter in New York City. I sat down at a wheel for the first time in 2021 and I've been hooked ever since: the centering, the trimming, the nervous wait while the kiln cools, and the little thrill of opening it up.

Somewhere along the way I lost track of everything. Which bowl was waiting on bisque? What glaze did I put on that mug I loved, and was it two coats or three? Meanwhile, my favorite part of studio days was wandering the shelves and seeing what everyone else was making.

So I made Mud, a home for all of it:

• Log your pieces from wet clay to the shelf, so you always know what's drying, what's in the kiln and what's done.
• Share the ones you're proud of, and see what potters at your studio and beyond are making.
• See glazes on real pots: how combinations look together, layered, on different clay bodies.
• Give studios a place to list their classes and memberships and keep their house glazes on record.

I'd love for Mud to be the hub for the pottery community: one place for your work, your materials and your people. It's early, and it's built by one person who loves this craft, so if something's missing or broken, please tell me.
